Avon Hotel - Toms River, Toms River

I chose this hotel due to its close proximity to family, but unfortunately, I won't be returning after experiencing musty, outdated rooms with a lingering smoke smell. I hope the management takes a closer look from a guest's perspective.

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The room, although small, was very clean and had a desk and a small easy chair, making it functional for work. However, the strong smell of cigarette smoke was a downside.

The hotel is located in Toms River, with a convenient bridge to Seaside or Island Beach State Park. Despite some room issues, like a lingering smell and small size, it was clean and comfortable. The service had its ups and downs, with some unfriendly encounters, but overall, it was good. The location was great, close to local eateries and shops, offering assistance from staff. The dining experience had its drawbacks with limited options, but it was decent. The facilities were satisfactory, with a well-maintained pool.
